Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre

The Substation
The Substation is a not-for-profit multi arts centre located in a 100-year-old repurposed, industrial building.
The Substation presents an annual curated program of creative development, residencies and presentation. Hobsons Bay Art Society
The Society operates out of the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre, offering art classes, including children’s classes, at affordable rates, tutored by experienced and talented Society members. Members also run classes in their own studios. Visit their website here.

A community concert band based in Hobsons Bay, the Hobsons Bay Band is an active part of the community, regularly performing at events and functions. Born in a Taxi

Crashendo Orchestra
Crashendo! is a music education program at Laverton P-12 College which offers music tuition as a vehicle for positive social change. Students learn a musical instrument and rehearse together in various ensembles, including orchestra, wind band and choir. The instruments are provided and participation in the program is free. Williamstown Camera Club
Williamstown Camera Club brings together residents of Williamstown, Newport, Altona, Laverton, Footscray, and adjacent suburbs. There are 22 meetings per year in which members can develop their photographic skills, socialise with others interested in photography, and engage in friendly competition with the aim of becoming better photographers.
