Community Playgroups
Community playgroups are regular gatherings of parents and caregivers with children aged 0-5 years. They meet regularly for up to two hours at a time in venues such as community centres, halls, parks and in the homes of playgroup families.
Parents manage and lead community playgroups as well as organising play and social activities for the group.
Community Playgroups provide:
- an opportunity for your child to play with other children
- a chance to meet other families in your community
- people to talk to about parenting and to share experiences with

How To Start a Playgroup

To start a new playgroup all you need is a couple of parents/caregivers with children and a willingness to meet.
