Supported Playgroups

Playgroup fun

What is a supported playgroup?

Supported playgroups are a safe and friendly place for you and your child aged 0-5 years to have fun, learn and play whilst sharing parenting tips and support.

Sessions are free to attend, held each week during school terms and are facilitated by an early years education professional. Supported playgroups are also a great way to meet other families in your local area and one-on-one support is also available for eligible families.

Coming to a supported playgroup can help your child’s learning, development, and wellbeing through:

  • enhancing your interactions with your child in a stimulating environment
  • supporting your parenting skills and confidence
  • helping your family transition into other community supports if needed

Who is Eligible to Attend?

  • families with a family member who has identified as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
