Parenting Programs

To complement our Maternal & Child Health Service we also offer the following programs for parents.

Baby Makes 3 Online

Baby Makes 3 is a program offered to all new parents in Hobsons Bay that promotes equal and respectful relationships between parents during the transition to parenthood. The program consists of three evening sessions that run for two hours each session. All groups will be run via Zoom by two facilitators (a male and a female). Parents and their baby should attend.

Baby & Toddler Sleep Settling Program

Sleep and settling concerns are common issues affecting young families. Register for a free group session to better understand baby and infant sleep, as well as tips and strategies to promote positive sleep patterns. Groups are targeted at various ages including 0 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months and 18 months to 3 years.

Circle of Security Parenting Group

Free eight-week parenting program for parents/carers with a child from birth to three years who are concerned about their relationship with their child and/or their child's behaviour. The program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. Book online here.

First Time Parent Group

All first-time parents will be invited by their nurse to attend up to six sessions of First Time Parent Group when their baby is aged between 6 and 12 weeks. The program is designed specifically to support new parents in their transition to parenting. For further information speak with your MCH Nurse, or email mchinbox@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au
