Commonwealth Reserve
Commonwealth Reserve is located in Williamstown on the foreshore adjacent to Gem Pier and has great views across the bay to Melbourne.
The Visitor Information Centre is located in Commonwealth Reserve as well as several heritage attractions including the Tide Gauge House, formerly at Point Gellibrand, and the Wilkinson Drinking Fountain.
The park was originally a mudflat adjacent to the bay before being reclaimed.
There are lot of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants nearby in Nelson Place, Douglas Parade and Ferguson Street and a craft market is held on the third Sunday of every month.

Getting there
By train: Williamstown Station and Williamstown Beach Station are both approximately 10 minutes' walk from Commonwealth Reserve.
By ferry: Ferries from Southbank (City) and St Kilda berth at Gem Pier.
Car parking: At weekends free parking is available at the Tenix car park, further along Nelson Place; or street parking is available.
A map of the 23 kilometre cycling and walking trail around the Hobsons Bay coast is located in the corner of the reserve next to Gem Pier or at the Visitor Information Centre.
