Altona Sports Centre

The Altona Sports Centre has undergone a significant upgrade which was officially opened on Wednesday 10 November by The Hon. Ros Spence with the assistance of The Hon. Jill Hennessy MP, Mayor Cr Jonathan Marsden, Cr Matt Tyler, Cr Diana Grima, Cr Peter Hemphill and Altona Sports Centre Limited Chairperson, Peter Shepheard.
The project included four new indoor multi-sport courts to increase the Centre to 10 indoor courts, a show court with seating for 1000 people, two new outdoor courts with lighting, a multi-purpose room, cafe and new change facilities with a total investment of $17 million (state government contribution of $3 million, $1.38 million from Altona Sports Centre Limited and $12.6 million from Council).
Altona Sports Centre is home to:

Altona Badminton Centre

Altona Badminton Centre is a competition venue for juniors and seniors in Hobsons Bay. Casual court hire is also available at the Centre.
