Doreen's Grassland Restoration - Information & Planting Day

A Pitch Your Project idea was submitted for the restoration of a locally significant grassland called Doreens Grassland in Altona. This pitch was made by the community in the 2022-23 round of applications. The conservation team are trialing a method called scalping, which has been utilised around Victoria to assist in restoring degraded grassland eco-systems.

Event schedule

10:00am – Conservation team providing information around the scalp project.

10:30-11:30am – Planting begins in habitat garden and grassland area.

11:30am-12pm - Afternoon tea.
