It's pollinator week, and we are celebrating by learning all about bees.

Beeswax is amazing stuff! Its sweet honey smell is delicious and can be made into some wonderful products including candles and beeswax food wraps.

During this workshop, Holly from Holly's Backyard Bees will teach us about how and why the bees make beeswax in the first place, how the beekeeper harvests it, and how we can use it in creating some beautiful and sustainable products.

We all know that plastic waste is a big problem for our environment. It clogs up our waterways, affects our wildlife and doesn't readily decompose. But there is a sustainable alternative - beeswax food wraps!

This is a hands-on workshop where all participants will take home their own beeswax food wrap and beeswax candle made on the day.

This event is for ages 16+. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a booked adult accompany them at all times.

For a family friendly event, please see Australian Native Bee & Insect Hotel Making.
