Strengthening Home Languages through Stories
Next date: Thursday, 20 March 2025 | 06:30 PM
to 08:00 PM
Join us for a hands-on workshop designed for parents, librarians, educators, and playgroup leaders working with culturally and linguistically diverse families.
Discover simple, practical ways to incorporate home languages into storytelling, songs, and playful language games—creating an inclusive space where every child feels seen and valued.
Through interactive activities, you'll learn how to bring stories to life in multiple languages and empower adults to share their own language expertise.
Walk away with fresh ideas, ready-to-use strategies, and the confidence to foster a welcoming, language-rich environment where families connect and cultures thrive.
About Multilingual Storytellers
We are a collective of storytellers from diverse cultural backgrounds, united by a deep belief in the power of stories to inspire, engage and connect communities. As members of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST) and Newport Storytellers, we come together to celebrate language and share our love of storytelling.
This workshop is designed for adults and is Part of Cultures of the World.
