Youth Fest '24: Street Art - Mural Workshop with Lukas Kasper

In these workshop sessions, a mural will be designed and painted by participants in collaboration with local artist, Lukas Kasper.

Participants will be encouraged to provide ideas that represent them and their community and have a say about what they would like to see on the walls of the BELONG Youth Program Room at Youth Services (level 1, Newport Community Hub).

During these engaging sessions led by Lukas Kasper, you'll gain an insight into the vibrant world of mural and street art techniques. Unleash your creativity, learn new skills, and make your mark on the community. Join us and explore the power of art in a supportive and inspiring environment.

This is a four-part mural series for young people aged 14-17 years. Selected applicants will be notified by 5 September. Limited capacity, so don't miss out. Submit your expression of interest today.

Workshop schedule:

Monday 9 September, 4-6pm: Introduction & Concept Design
Monday 23 September, 10am-1pm: Mural Painting Day 1
Tuesday 24 September, 10am-1pm: Mural Painting Day 2
Wednesday 25 September, 10am-1pm: Mural Painting Day 3

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all four workshops.
