Register of requests for information from candidates
All candidates in an election have the right to information held by Council.
Information provided to candidates will be limited to only what is already available to the community.
It is important that sitting Councillors continue to receive information that is necessary to fulfill their elected roles. Neither Councillors nor candidates will receive information or advice from Council staff that might be perceived to support election campaigns and there shall be complete transparency in the provision of all information and advice during the Election Period.
The following register will be kept from the close of nominations to the day of an election to record requests by persons who identify themselves as candidates when seeking information from Council.

I kindly request information regarding the total number of dwellings within the Williamstown North Ward. As an independent candidate for this ward in the upcoming Hobsons Bay City Council elections, I believe this data is crucial for a better understanding the local housing landscape.
