Laverton Park – changeroom and scoreboard upgrades

In the 2024-25 financial year, Sport and Recreation Victoria granted state funding for upgrades to facilities at Laverton Park, to be facilitated by Hobsons Bay City Council.

The existing BF Jackson Pavilion at Laverton Park is home to the Laverton Magpies Football Club and the Laverton Cricket Club. The project will include the design and construction of a new modular changeroom pavilion beside the existing pavilion, which will provide two additional new change rooms with amenities and storage to service the park. Works will also include the construction of a new electronic scoreboard.

The new pavilion will ensure the clubs have access to compliant unisex facilities for all members and visiting teams.

The off-site construction of the new Laverton Park Pavilion is progressing well, with installation of the change room pavilion set to begin in March. The building is expected to be ready for use by May/June.

Upgrades to the sewer system at the BF Jackson Pavilion and the new pavilion will occur throughout February and March. These works will not impact cricket training, matches or pre-season footy training, and the toilets will remain operational during this period.
