Community Consultation
The plans for Maddox Road were developed through two rounds of community consultation in 2023. Initial consultation was completed in March 2023 and follow-up consultation was completed in December 2023.
Feedback showed that 68% of respondents supported the project and 13% were neutral. Read the 'What We Heard' report here.
Infrastructure Delivery
A detailed engineering design is proposed to be completed in the 2024/25 financial year, with construction starting in the following financial years (dependent on financing). Council is investigating funding opportunities through government grants, support from the level crossing removal program, and direct budgeting as part of our capital works program.
