Hobsons Bay 360 #103:  Empowering the community to take climate action

Council is dedicated to achieving net zero community greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. A key part of this commitment is empowering you to take meaningful climate action in your homes.

To help you save energy and money, Council offers a series of free online workshops providing expert advice on energy efficiency. Last financial year, nearly 300 community members participated in Council’s energy webinars, which covered diverse topics such as solar panels, climate-resilient design, electric appliances, electric vehicles, and energy-saving tips for renters.

Hobsons Bay is a diverse municipality, so this year, the workshop series has been expanded to include live interpretations in:

  • Arabic

  • Vietnamese

  • Mandarin

  • Punjabi

  • Cantonese

  • Sgaw Karen

These workshops are presented by Council in partnership with the Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action (WAGA) and Renew, renowned for over 40 years of independent energy advice.

If you missed a session or want to revisit a topic, all webinars are recorded and available on the WAGA Sustainable Expert YouTube channel shortly after the live session.
