Council is committed to helping our residents maintain their independence and stay active members of the community, especially those who face challenges in performing daily tasks due to age related issues or disability. Our Community Support Services offer a range of practical support options designed to keep eligible residents safe, secure, and comfortable in their homes, reducing the need for early residential care.

Last financial year, our dedicated team completed 250 home maintenance/modification jobs, ensuring that many Hobsons Bay residents could continue to live independently and safely in their homes. This service offers minor repairs and maintenance for eligible residents to maintain home safety and security, with tasks that don't require a tradesperson. Our team will work with residents to ensure that their home remains a safe and comfortable environment.
