Hobsons Bay 360 #32: Resources to assist in recycling your waste

Our 2024 Waste and Recycling Collection calendars have been distributed across Hobsons Bay to approximately 39,285 households. This year, the calendars were distributed with a waste education flyer containing an overview of what goes in each bin and some handy hints on how to understand the calendar.

What if you haven’t received your calendar?

Why not go digital! The free Hobsons Bay Recycling 2.0 mobile phone app contains all of the information a resident may need about their waste collection. The app allows you to set up notifications reminding you which bin to put out and will send you important waste service alerts, such as changes to your regular bin schedule for public holidays.

By providing recycling calendars and access to our easy-to-use recycling app, we’re helping to keep Hobsons Bay green. Use the app to get bin reminders or check which items are for which bin, keeping valuable resources out of landfill and progressing us closer to a truly circular economy. Cr Jonathon Marsden (Strand Ward).

Council also has an interactive waste collections map, where residents can search their address for a full list of bin service days! How handy is that? The interactive map can be accessed by clicking here.

If you prefer a printed calendar and did not receive one in your letterbox, call our Customer Service Team on 1300 179 944 or drop into any Council+ location.
