Bev Aisbett
Bev Aisbett is the author and illustrator of fourteen books which feature a unique cartoon format utilised as a means of simplifying and adding levity to subjects as complex and confronting as anxiety and depression.
The two main titles in this series are ‘Taming the Back Dog’ (on depression) and ‘Living with IT’ (on anxiety) - the latter revised and expanded for its 20th Anniversary in 2013. Two further titles were released in 2010 ‘I Love Me’ and ‘Get Real’ and autobiography ‘All of It - a Memoir of Love, Fear and Art’, released in 2012 was nominated for the 2013 Stella Award. Also reinterpreted existing books into illustrated format, mostly recently Dr. Russ Harris' 'The Happiness Trap'.
