Altona Laverton Historical Society and Seabreeze Quilters join forces to unearth crafting traditions from times past – from pedal powered treadle sewing machines to participating in a workshop hand stitching a ‘chatelaine’ – useful sewing items that would hang from the belt of the lady of the house. Participants will be invited to learn how to sew patchwork squares on one of the two reconditioned machines housed within the Homestead. The squares will be made into Care Quilts to be given out to members of the community. All materials will be supplied, and morning and afternoon tea is provided.

Cost: $10.
