RECHARGE Scheme

The RECHARGE Scheme™ was officially launched in Victoria in 2006. To date there are 75 councils working in partnership with local businesses and organisations to offer these highly valued community services, with Hobsons Bay being one of these partners. 

Over 1000 local businesses and organisations are making a difference to the lives of those individuals who use electric mobility scooters or wheelchairs in their local community. Through the simple gesture of providing a power point, people who use electric mobility scooters and wheelchairs gain further confidence to get out and about in their local community without the fear of being stranded with a flat battery.

Accessible Change Rooms

Council has a number of accessible change rooms located within Council owned facilities for use by members of the community. These facilities provide an accessible shower, a hoist and an adult weight change table.
