Hobsons Bay 360 #95: Dennis Reserve upgrade Stage 3 complete
The upgrade of Dennis Reserve in Williamstown has been successfully completed, with Stage 3 finalised in May, 2024. This marks the end of a multi-year project aimed at revitalising the reserve.
Key Improvements
The works in Stage 3 (the final stage) have included:
- New tennis courts
- Playground
- Community hall
- Perimeter gravel circuit path
- Generous lawn areas and
- New flowering garden beds.
The project focused on preserving the park’s significant large trees and connecting to local heritage resulting in a beautiful and historical space.
About the project
Endorsed by council on March 21, 2019, the master plan was implemented in three stages. With Stage 3 complete, Dennis Reserve is now a vibrant community space that honours Williamstown’s heritage and offers modern amenities for all to enjoy.
